Waterwells Primary Academy

School Uniform

Our school uniform

Our aim is to create a learning environment that is purposeful and safe. We expect pupils to be suitably dressed for school in their school uniform, and have smart, tidy hair – tied back if it is long.

Children should come to school with an appropriate haircut. We discourage fashion cuts such as crew cuts, tramlines, Mohicans or any unnatural hair colour. Make-up and nail varnish is not acceptable in school.

Children may wear a watch and simple ear studs if they have pierced ears. No other jewellery should be worn. If there is a particular reason for your child to wear a special item of jewellery, please talk to the Headteacher.

The Department of Education produces statutory guidance on the cost of school uniforms, and we take this guidance into consideration when developing and implementing our school uniform policy.
